Banko started behind the camera.
Before strategy decks, branding sessions, and website launches, Banko began as a photography studio. Since 1996, we’ve expanded into full-service creative with clients across North America, but visual storytelling has always remained part of the work.
Today, we produce photography and video for brands in hospitality, manufacturing, retail, non-profit, and more. Sometimes on location. Sometimes in our Hamilton studio. Usually with coffee nearby.
The space
While much of our work happens out in the world, our in-house studio gives us a flexible space to create when a project calls for a little more control over the environment.
It’s a space built for interviews, product shoots, headshots, and content creation of all kinds. It gives clients a comfortable environment to review work in real time, experiment a little, and avoid wondering whether the lighting in their boardroom is going to cooperate.
In the studio, we’ve captured furniture, flooring, coffee beans, whiskey, chocolate truffles, hot sauce, beer, handbags, boots, shoes, sandals, makeup, wine, bird seed, energy drinks, suits, more beer, books, magazines, hamburgers, cocktails, buttons, pharmaceuticals, stationary, artwork, did we mention beer?
The studio includes:
- 1200 square feet of space with room for multiple set ups
- a bank of east-facing windows
- seamless backdrop system
- strobe and continuous lighting equipment
- product photography tabletops
- interview and video capability
- styling and prep space
- meeting space
- comfy couches
- coffee maker (of course)
