Mosaic reopened its doors in August 2024. Not as something new, but as something intentionally familiar. A neighbourhood bar that already meant something to the people around it, returning with a clearer sense of who it was and who it was for.

Mosaic has long been a local fixture. The challenge wasn’t reinvention, it was reintroduction. Bringing the bar back in a way that felt true to its history, while giving it a brand strong enough to support what came next. More programming, more partnerships, and a space that could grow without losing its neighbourhood feel.
The name Mosaic says a lot. It nods to the hop at the heart of the beer list, and to the idea of a mosaic as an artwork made up of many pieces. Different nights, different crowds, different reasons for showing up, all sharing the same room. Trivia one night. Karaoke the next. Regulars at the bar, new faces at a table nearby. Nothing has to match perfectly to belong.

From the reopening onward, Banko has been Mosaic’s creative partner. Our role was to help modernize the brand without removing its character. We led the brand refresh and carried it across key touchpoints including signage, menu design, merchandise, the website, and ongoing social media.
Every decision was made with longevity in mind. Menus needed to be easy to update as offerings evolved. The brand voice needed to sound like a real person behind the bar, not a promotion. The goal was always clarity, keeping people informed and welcomed.
The website plays a central role in that experience. An always-current events calendar makes it easy to see what’s happening and plan a visit. Ecommerce supports product and ticket sales, giving Mosaic an easy way to extend the experience beyond the bar and support special events.


Social media works alongside the website as an extension of the in-bar experience. Straightforward, welcoming, and current. Content keeps pace with the rhythm of the space, reinforcing Mosaic as a neighbourhood destination rather than a one-off night out.
We also developed a repeatable system for events and partnerships that reflects the reality of running a working bar. Trivia nights, open mic, karaoke, and collaborations with local creatives and businesses are supported by clear, consistent design and messaging. The result is less guesswork, easier promotion, and a rhythm that makes it simple to show up week after week.
As Mosaic continues to evolve, our role stays steady. We help carry the feeling of the bar across every touchpoint, and ensure all the pieces hold together, wherever people encounter the brand.
