L’Arche Greater Vancouver
L’Arche Greater Vancouver celebrated their fiftieth birthday in 2024 in a big way: opening the doors of a gorgeous, new, $37 million facility. In 2025, rebuilding their website was the natural next step to reflect this exciting new chapter.

In an increasingly digital world, the discrepancy was too great to ignore: while the new L’Arche Greater Vancouver building empowered the organization to fulfill its mission of building communities for people with and without intellectual disabilities, their old website wasn’t keeping up.
In 2025, L’Arche Greater Vancouver committed to updating their website, and we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Our creation is bright, bold, visually ambitious, and — above all else — welcoming.

How does a Hamilton agency land a major project in Vancouver? It starts with a great relationship. Initially connected through friends-of-friends, we’ve supported the L’Arche Greater Vancouver team through emergency fixes on the old website for years. While that didn’t help us build the new site—the beautiful website was built from scratch—it did let L’Arche Greater Vancouver know that we knew what we were doing, and that they could depend on us and our work.
L’Arche is an international organization, but each chapter is independent. L’Arche Greater Vancouver wasn’t content with adhering strictly to the overarching L’Arche brand. They wanted something that lived within it, but pushed the envelope to stand out from the rest. We focused on round shapes and variations of their brand colours to make everything pop!
Technically, the site is built to foster community, including a personalized events calendar, accessibility features, and a unique online shop experience that works for both the client’s needs, and the needs of their supporters.

We knew that to reach its potential, the site needed a personal touch. We travelled to Vancouver for in-person meetings and sent our photographer to develop a new image library on-site. The visuals you see on the website are real people, in real spaces, empowering the client’s authenticity to come through in every piece of communication and promotion, now and in the future.
